Moving from ERM to Metro
What ERM's own pages say, what Metro carries over, and how to be running in about five minutes.
Facts about other products were read from their public pages on ; each has its source. Metro is our product.
What ERM says
- ERM is a staff moderation and management panel for ER:LC servers. Its site says no public API specification is available for now. (source, checked )
- ERM runs an export page where you sign in with Discord to export your data. (source, checked )
- Melonly's switch guide describes ERM as discontinued. ERM's own pages do not give a date. (source, checked )
What carries over
Metro has no ERM importer. Your staff start fresh in Metro's shift, quota, leave and punishment tools, and you can keep your ERM export file for your own records.
Five minutes to switch
- Add Metro to your Discord server. It never needs Administrator.
- Run /setup and connect your ER:LC server with the Server-Key from your private server settings.
- Apply a template from the gallery to start with a working set of jobs, banking and rules.
- Open the dashboard and choose what each of your roles can use (Staff, Police, Dispatch).
- Turn on staff shifts, quotas and leave if you want them. Shifts start the moment staff join the game.
What your staff get, free
- Automatic shifts and weekly activity quotas, with a weekly summary posted for you.
- Leave of absence requests with approve and deny buttons.
- A punishment log: in-game kicks and bans are recorded on the player, and staff can add others with /punish add.
- A free CAD and a player economy on top, if you want them.
Plus (USD 4.99 a month per server) adds punishment and quota history beyond 4 weeks and CSV export.
Questions
Is ERM shut down?
We cannot confirm that from ERM itself. Melonly's guide calls it discontinued and ERM's site offers a data export. Check with ERM before you rely on either.
Can I bring my ERM data into Metro?
No. There is no importer. Export your data from ERM so you keep a copy.
Do my staff need new commands?
A few: /shift, /loa and /punish. Most staff activity is recorded from the game by itself.
