Terms of service
Effective 27 September 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Sverre Sigurdssøn, an individual in Norway who runs Metro ("Metro", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you use Metro: the Discord bot, the dashboard and website at metrobot.app, and the in-game commands on a server that runs Metro. By adding Metro to a Discord server, signing in on this site, linking a Roblox account, or buying Plus, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Metro.
What Metro is
Metro adds an economy to Emergency Response: Liberty County (ER:LC) private servers: jobs, wallets and banking, cars and licences, ranks, crime, government and more. It reads and acts on a server through the ER:LC private server API, using a Server-Key the server owner provides, and through Discord. Metro doesn't control the game, Roblox, or Discord.
Not affiliated with Roblox, PRC or Discord
Metro is an independent service. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, by the Police Roleplay Community (PRC), who make ER:LC, or by Discord. "Roblox", "ER:LC", "Emergency Response: Liberty County" and "Discord" are trademarks of their owners.
Who can use Metro
- You must be at least 13, or older if your country requires it to use Discord. This is the same minimum age as Discord's own.
- If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy Plus.
- You must follow Discord's and Roblox's own terms while using Metro. Nothing here lets you break them.
Server owners
If you add Metro to a server, you confirm you're allowed to manage that server and to give Metro its Server-Key. You decide which features are on and how they're set up, including any enforcement that runs commands in game. You're responsible for that configuration and for telling your players that the server uses Metro. Metro is a tool; it doesn't moderate your community for you.
In-game money
Balances, items, cars, licences and anything else earned or spent inside Metro exist only within Metro. They have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for money, and belong to the server's economy, which its owner can change or reset.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- try to access another server's data, Server-Key, dashboard or player records;
- exploit bugs in Metro, the bot or the dashboard, or keep quiet about one you are abusing;
- overload, scrape or attack Metro, or get around its limits, rate limits or Plus features;
- use Metro to harass, threaten or grief players, or to break the law;
- resell or give away access to Metro or Plus.
If you find a security problem, please report it as described on the security page.
Metro Plus
- Price. Plus costs USD 4.99 per month ($4.99/month) for one Discord server. Tax may be added at checkout: where VAT or sales tax applies, it is added and shown before you pay. A server that never had Plus can get one free week, once, when its owner votes for Metro on top.gg; no card is taken and it ends by itself.
- Who sells it to you. Plus is sold through Stripe Managed Payments. The reseller and merchant of record for your payment is Link ("Sold through Link", Link, LLC), part of Stripe: it takes the payment, charges and pays the tax, sends your receipts, and handles payment support and refund requests. Your card statement shows
LINK.COM*followed by Metro's name. Metro provides the service itself. - Billing. Payment is taken when you subscribe and then automatically at the start of each monthly period until you cancel. Metro never sees your card details.
- Per server. A subscription belongs to the Discord server it was bought for, not to the person who paid. It stays with that server if the bot is removed and added back, and can't be moved to another server.
- Changes. We may change what Plus includes or what it costs. A price change applies from your next billing period after at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Cancelling
You can cancel Plus at any time from the server's Billing page in the dashboard. Cancelling stops the next payment. Plus stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the server returns to the free plan. Your server's settings are kept, so Plus features come back as they were if you subscribe again.
Refunds and your right of withdrawal
Payments are not refunded, including for a partly used month, except where the law requires it. In particular:
- If you are a consumer in Norway or the EU/EEA, you have a right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Plus starts as soon as you pay, so checkout asks you to confirm that you want it to start straight away and that you lose the right of withdrawal once it has started; checkout does not continue without that confirmation. If Plus has not yet started when you ask, you can still withdraw within 14 days of buying and get a full refund: email us, or ask Link support.
- A purchase made by someone under 18 without a parent or guardian's permission is refunded when we are told about it.
- If Metro charges you by mistake, or fails to provide Plus for reasons on our side, we will put it right, which may mean a refund.
The service as it is
Metro is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or keep any particular feature. It depends on Discord, Roblox and the ER:LC API, which we don't control. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or in-game items, or disruption to your server or community. Our total liability to you for anything connected with Metro is limited to what you paid us for Plus in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away your rights as a consumer.
Ending your use of Metro
You can stop using Metro at any time: remove the bot from your server, cancel Plus, and unlink your Roblox account. We may suspend or end access for a user or a server that breaks these terms, puts other servers or players at risk, or that the ER:LC API or Discord no longer lets us serve. If we end a paid subscription without a breach on your side, we refund the unused part of the current period. What happens to data when you leave is described in the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do. For changes that matter to you, we will give notice on this page, and in Discord or at checkout where we can, before they apply. If you keep using Metro after that, the new terms apply.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first; most things can be sorted out by email. Otherwise it goes to the Norwegian courts, but if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
